You may have noticed that Collaboration is a core value of my brand and it is something I preach to all of my clients. So today, I am sharing a very simple client story about the magic that happens when different skills and minds come together to collaborate!
How did this collaboration come about?
Through the connection of two other humans! This client had mentioned to a fellow business buddy over coffee one day that she had an eBook idea, but she wasn’t taking action on it. It just so happened that her business buddy was a retainer client of mine and knew that I helped with mini projects like these! She connected us and we went from there.
The first collaboration.
Two people simply being open and honest with each other, sharing their situation and experience, then allowing the support to land. Community is everything in business…. but we’ll talk more about that another day!
Why wasn’t she taking action on this seemingly simple idea?
She had a fear of sharing something new 😱
She felt she didn’t have the skills required to complete all the steps needed to take it from idea to sellable product 😕

What did we do about it?
This is the second collaboration. We hopped on a call to chat about the project and see what the real difficulty was for her. This quick chat revealed the truth, she wasn’t scared about sharing the content, she was scared she couldn’t package it well or figure out the tools she needed to actually sell it. 💶💶
We mapped out the best way to bring our different skills and insights together to make this idea a reality:
she would bring her knowledge and passion for the work, focusing on what she does best, creating written content.
I would don my editing hat to perfect the information, my design hat to create a clear simple digital download and finally my tech hat to build out everything she needed to start selling!
The final result?
An intentional and informative eBook that started selling right away and still continues to do so today!!
By looking at what was ACTUALLY holding her back, we collaborated and came up with a solution that allowed her to focus on the part that only she could do, and allowed me to take responsibility for the rest.
As business owners it can be easy to cast aside ideas, but with collaboration and good planning, some of those ideas can be made a reality far easier than you first think. 💡💡
